Why and how We The People—and ONLY we—can fix the crisis and create a better civilization.

Ending The Madness

Jul 18, 2026 | General

Our last best chance to avoid the madness that has now taken hold of the entire planet was in the year 2000—when the SCOTUS overruled the majority of American voters and made a Texas oilman the President.

His opponent, the climate activist Al Gore, was the people's choice. He was certainly not a perfect candidate, but—for that moment in history—he was probably the best candidate imaginable. Because our civilization was at a pivot point for the climate. Permanent damage had already been done to our Earth, but the worst had not yet come and much of it was still avoidable.

The truth is, for the future of civilization on Earth, Al Gore was the last best chance for the human race.

We under-reacted to the election being stolen from us. We valued decorum over justice. Worst of all, we accepted—passively—the wilfull destruction of our children's future, our SPECIES future, by accepting George W. Bush in an office we rejected him for.

He accelerated climate doom on behalf of his wealthy, soulless, greedy and beyond clueless wealthy benefactors.

This pattern of stupidity and wilfull destruction continues to this day. Some Democrats put an occasional speed bump in the way, but made no meaningful effort to stop this calamity. Biden himself approved a huge expansion of oil exploitation in the Alaskan wilderness.

One Half of the Tragedy

The unimaginably deadly and stupid destruction of the planet that sustains us—like Wile E. Coyote cutting off the branch he sits on and plummeting into a canyon, except less humorous—was the path we took.

Sadly, that's not all.

People know about the climate crisis, but the other tragedy remains undiagnosed and therefore unopposed. The unnecessary suffering and virtual slavery of billions of people is seen as natural and unavoidable.

I'm talking about "work." I'm talking about human activity that wastes the time and energy of human lives, BILLIONS OF HUMAN LIVES, producing mostly unnecessary crap to make a tiny band of undeserving fools ever wealthier. This unnatural and exploitive system robs billions of people of their time, which is THEIR LIVES, and reduces their entire existence to virtual serfdom.

We need to put a spotlight on this. It's not only that we have a plutocracy, a governmnt dominated by reach people who abuse workers rights. It's that WORK ITSELF is an unnecessary abomination. Ordinary people produce everything needed to feed, cloth and provide medical care for everyone worldwide. We already do this.

But we also remove moutaintops, poison the air and water, destroy the soil INSTEAD OF LIVING OUR SHORT PRECIOUS LIVES as human beings. Humans are social creatures, and beings with imagination, animals that wonder, that learn out of curiosity, that are born to live in and be a part of Nature.

Instead, that's only possible AFTER WORK, after the energy and life is sucked out of us. Some of us get retirement and a few years of diminshed life—finally a bit—near the end. Many never retire and simply die as serfs.

This is all in defense of an unnecessary cruel system that forces billions to serve a few lazy incompetent cruel jerks.

We must stop destroying the Earth and we must stop wasting our lives. It is ONLY our obedience, our silence, our cooperation that enable this shitshow to continue.

We CAN stop this. It's much easier than you think. We've been taught it's impossible. That capitalism is unstoppable and that nothing else is possible, or that anything else is worse. Bullshit. Absolute bullshit. These lies goes unchallenged. But we shouldn't even bother arguing about them. We can SEE FOR OURSELVES what the situation is.

We need to commit ourselves to ending it.

The Alternative Is Genuine Human Nature and Community

Without force policing us, we are supposedly violent savages.

What about YOU? Would you, without police or military or other armed enforcers, go on a spree of murder and rape and theft? No?

Are you a special and unique creature among a giant population of violent savages? Of course not. Most people are decent, and in fact rather good and kind. We evolved this way, to cooperate, to work together, to be communities.

The savages are the corporations and governments, heavily armed groups who control billions of people through vast networks of propaganda and, when that fails, naked brutality.

It's easy to choose sides here. But we are still mystified about what, exactly, each of us should do.

It's easy but we don't see it because the results are not quick and clearly observable. They take time and we are desperate, not patient. But we must NOT let this prevent us from doing what is right and necessary.

Each of us needs to do a little something, routinely and repeatedly. Whatever suits us. We must be sticks in the spokes of fascism, and in these actions we post a deadly unbeatable threat to our adversaries. Our goal is do discredit them, doggedly ridicule them, rob them completely of any semblence of legimacy. And we must instill in them FEAR, a rational fear that their abusive behavior endangers them—not just the possibilty of losing their postions or some money.

They must recognize that they stand to lose their lives. Because they threaten us and KILL some us without pause or conscience every day.

Now, WE do not need to become Luigis. For most of us, our battle will not be violent. But we will still terrify them. Because there are so many of us and so few of them. And their armed defenders who are, of course, NOT wealthy explioters but expendable mercenaries—well, they will begin to get nervous and defect. They, too, don't want to be subject to ridicule—or the death they bring to us.

I will not promote or carry out violent actions against human beings. Even evil human beings. (Property is another matter.) But I will never condemn Luigis and I feel certain there will be more. Because striking back by any means necessary is a rational and understandable reaction to what we are facing. I think a little goes a long way but it has already had an important effect.

The murderous billionaire class, the child-raping savages in suits—they ARE scared. They SHOULD be scared. They DESERVE to be scared.

Our role must be simple actions and approaches to daily life that helps us and hurts our adversaries and, in particular, their fragile pathetic egos.

You need to choose, or even better, invent your own approach. But here's some thoughts that can help inspire and guide your choices.

  1. Not just denounce, but ridicule the nonsense being peddled. Laugh at them BECAUSE they are, in fact, pathetic losers. Publicly and incessantly make fun of the weakness of those who grovel before a senile child-raping felon.
  2. Highlight every vicious crime committed by the regime, in gory detail. Do not waste time even mentioning their explanations or excuses. Point out they they steal OUR money to fund roving bands of murderers sent into our communities, and to run concentration camps brutalizing tens of thousands (and probably more) people FOR PROFIT.
  3. Stay focused on the actual infuriating and unacceptable cruelty. Don't bother talking about the Constitution, about law, about whether or not there's a loophole that can justify their inhumane crimes against humanity. We shouldn't get anywhere near a situation where they can deflect attention from the MAGNITUDE of their VILE BEHAVIOR and ABSOLUTE DESTRUCTION they are inflicting on both people and our planet.
  4. Use sabotage, showing complete contempt for the regime along with their laws, their demands, their lies. Destroy not only their false dignity, but impede everyting they do. Give them no peace. Ever.
  5. This is very, very important. Be kinder to your neighbors and strangers—especially those targeted by the regime—than you have ever been before. Our kindness to each other is as important as our agressive disobedience towards our foes. This kindness sets the tone of the society WE will create, the one that replace the evil shitshow of fascism/plutocracy.

Most of all, our defiance must be visible, public and unavoidable. This dissent must be so overwhelming that it's the new norm and, even though corporate media will discredit or avoid showing it, we will create this new culture. Our ways will be the facts on the ground.

The anti-fascist culture is OUR culture; a culture that loves our neighbors wherever they come from or whatever papers they do or don't have. Our revolution won't be (very) violent and it won't be characterized by a vast unity and solidly coordinated strategy. That has NEVER been necessary for any successful revolution in history.

It will be millions of us, leading by example, inspiring others, creating a new unavoidable culture of kindness. We won't merely defeat an evil regime and end evil systems. We will build a better society, a humane and caring one, and one that will finally allow humans to live fully as humans.
